I got a bit excited last night while washing my hair with the conditioner. You know the water makes it look longer right. So I decide to try my first #twistout over night. Image on the left is the result, #Fail. It looked nothing like those dreamy coily twistouts I see on these #naturalhair IG’s :/ It gave me a #curlyfro, not that anything’s wrong with that but its not a “do” to me. I went straight back to #oldfaithful, my signature #fingercoils. Twistouts didnt work for me, nor did the #bantuknotout. Guess I have to wait for some more #hangtime. Today’s Victory Run was dedicated to my father Amen who passed Friday. It was about living life with no regrets. About forgiving yourself and knowing the fact that you are still breathing, your limbs are still working, blood is still pumping through your veins, God saw it fit for us to be here, to have another shot at it, so why should we live in regret when this moment we have right now is a chance to do better. And better is what we did, more is what we gave, pushed to the burn, drove ourselves to shortness of breath in the rain.
